27 New Private Investment Projects Approved by The Council for the Development of Cambodia

The Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) has announced that it has approved 27 new private investment projects in the first two months of 2023. The projects have a total value of $198.2 million and are expected to generate 39,914 jobs for Cambodians. Most of the projects are in textile-related sectors, which are a major source of export earnings and employment for the country.

The CDC also gave the green light to some projects in manufacturing industries such as electronics, paper products and food processing. These industries are part of the government’s strategy to diversify the economy and increase value-added production.
